OLEV EVHS, WCS & ORCS grants
The government offers grants to support the wider use of electric and hybrid vehicles via the Office of Low Emission Vehicles (OLEV). If you are eligible for the Workplace Charging Scheme or the Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme you can save up to £350 on EV charge point installation.
Accessing the OLEV grant funding for work charging
To claim the OLEV funding for the WCS scheme there is an on-line application process. If eligible you will receive a voucher which you can redeem through iCharge Ltd. Please follow the link below to begin your application.

Accessing the OLEV grant funding for home charging
Step 1:
We can check you meet the eligibility criteria of the schemes. We will need your name, address, vehicle details, and your preferred date of installation.
Step 2:
We will check the following and plan the installation of your charge point:
- your existing consumer unit (fuse box)
- presence of off-road parking
- requirement for an earth rod or O-PEN device
- your earth cables (attached to your water and gas stop cock)
- the route from your consumer unit to the location of the charge point
- eligibility of vehicle for the grant
Step 3:
We can support you through the grant application process as follows:
- Return a completed and signed copy of Annex D
- Return a completed and signed annex I (if the vehicle is in a company name)
- Provide all required proof of purchase documentation as per Annex D criteria
- Provide a copy of your electricity invoice (we will obtain your MPAN number)
- Send all of the documentation off and secure the grant funding
Accessing the ORCS grant funding for on street charging
The Office for Low Emission Vehicles (OLEV) has allocated £20m of funding for 2020/21 for on-street residential projects. This funding is available to Local Authorities for eligible projects. Please see link below.
